A dental implant is used to support one or more false teeth. It is a titanium screw that can replace the root of a tooth. Just like a tooth root, it is placed into the jawbone. Implants offer a permanent solution to tooth loss.

You will be assessed by an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon and a Dental Surgeon that specializes in restoring dental implants. The team needs to ensure that there is sufficient bone and space to place an implant and sufficient space for the restoration to be place so that it has the best aesthetic outcome.

The team may advise bone grafting, sinus lifting procedures or orthodontic treatment to create the best environment for implant placement. The gums may also need to be operated on to create the best aesthetic outcomes.
